Teething can cause swollen gums, irritability, excessive drooling, biting on objects, and disturbed sleep. To soothe your baby, you can gently massage the gums with a clean finger, offer a cold teething ring or a chilled spoon, and let the baby chew on a soft silicone teether. Breastfeeding or formula feeding can also provide comfort. If the pain is severe, you may apply a pediatric teething gel (only after consulting a doctor) or give paracetamol drops if recommended by your pediatrician. This phase is temporary, and your baby will feel better once the teeth fully emerge.
