#Ask to expert new born is 24days old.. he has little fever and cold.. how to treat it

DR SHIWAJIRAO PATILGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Hello , your baby boy is newborn just 24 days old and he is having a cold and fever so give him frequent breast feeding and 4 drops of wikoryl three times a day

Fever is when the temperature of the body goes above 99 degree fahrenheit and the safest medicine in such situation is paracetamol which can be repeated after 6 hours again if required in a proper dose . Alternative medicine can also be tried if required like ibuprofen and mefenamic acid preparations.
cold sponging of tfhe whole bogdy with tap water can be beneficial too to bring the temperature down .
