#Ask expert I delivered baby on 29 July 2021 by C section. When can I take covid vaccine? Need answer only from doctors.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. any covid vaccine like covishield / covaxin can be given safely to nursing mothers and pregnant women as per the latest recommendation which is approved by govt of India.children are still not included in this list.trials are still going on but proper confirmation regarding this is not yet done by the govt.it may take some more time.till then children need to be kept under full safety precautions and given a good balanced diet n supplements for good immunity and other vaccines done timely.
Nursing mothers can feed their child as soon as required after the vaccination jvery safely.it has no adverse effects on the babbvy.in case of any pain or fever after vaccination,tab dolo can be taken which is safest during this period.

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy4 years agoA. However, there is also no evidence to suggest that taking a Covid vaccine for pregnant women will cause any risk to lactating mothers. Ultimately, even though there is no conclusive answer to this, according to medical experts, covid vaccine safety for breastfeeding moms or mothers can take the Covid vaccine.
