Dear ma’am, you can start with single ingredient based porridge like rice or ragi, boiled and mashed carrot, puréed banana etc but introduce one new food at a time and continue to encourage frequent breastfeeding as your milk still forms the major source of nourishment
SandhyaMom of a 8 yr 8 m old girl4 years agoA. Hi, you need to start semisolid food once baby complete six months.
8 AM-ragi porridge
12 PM-any vegetable purée
4 PM-any fruit purée
1 PM-rice and dal porridge. With this you can give Dal water in water
Avoid salt, sugar, honey, citric fruits, dry fruits, cow milk until baby completes one year. Always feed semisolid food in sitting position. Give minimum gap of two hours and then give liquid feed.
