Only the lucky ones have the chance of having a daughter. A daughter's love for her parents is always genuine and can and will never match that of a son.

It does not matter to me personally . But i think the society thinks son is better than daughter because our country is still fighting for equal rights for females , its safety and issues like dowry etc . So people who think sons are better than daughters are in constant fear of facing these issues in future and prefer a male child .
