Boy V/S Girl

GENDER INEQUALITY Gender Bias in Parenting
Boy V/S Girl
A Boy Child or a Girl Child have been treated differently since ages. A desire of having a 'Son' rather than a 'Daughter' is still there in most parts of the country.Does it really matter for you? Why do you think our society has this preference for having Son rather than Daughter?

Gender should be treated equally.I will not say girls are superior or boys should be a first priority of every parents. No ,both are very important to maintain balance in society.
so we should treat them equally.

I personally believe both boys and girls are equal. As a parent it's our responsibility and duty to raise our kids to become a responsible citizen tomorrow and to be independent. Be it a girl or a boy, both must be raised with love, discipline and values. I am a mother of two boys who always wanted a girl. But that doesn't make any difference except the fact that if it were a girl, I could groom her and dress her up, which I won't be able to do for a boy. (And maybe that is the only reason I wanted a girl)

I and my brother were treated equally.. my husband equally respects me as i respect him..so gender never bothered me that much..All we and our family want is a healthy baby and a smooth delivery process with God's grace..

Society has this preference because i have this preference, and the society changes when i as individual changes.

I personally love both genders, but i’d prefer to have one of my kids to be a boy to carry out my family name. But that never means i’d be disappointed having girls or i would treat my kids differently. i hope i don’t end up being in that position ever.

Am afraid if its gonna sound offensive but i think this could be one of the concerns of parents.
