You are still in your toddler’s favorite playmate at this point but you’ll notice that as he’s getting better at expressing himself through words and gestures, he will enjoy being around the other kids more. At playdates or at the park, you might notice that he’s playing near other children but not with them. This is known as parallel play, which is perfectly normal and ecouraged.
