Here I’m sharing my pregnancy story, and for the first few months, it was a painful experience. But with God’s grace, we were blessed with a baby girl, and she is five months old now.
My name is Riya, and my pregnancy was quite difficult and full of complications. I have been married for the last three years, and we are settled in the US. When I came to India, after the first week, I got to know that I am pregnant. My husband and I were thrilled. It was a dream come true. We went for the first ultrasound at seven weeks and heard our baby’s heartbeat. It was a moment we cherish.
After completing my first trimester, I faced the problem of having a low lying placenta, and because of that, I was hospitalised for three days. The doctor said I would recover if I rest properly. My husband and I were anxious about our baby. After the problem was detected, I was on complete bed rest. This phase was excruciating and difficult for me as I experienced severe pain in my neck, shoulders, and legs.
But I have a supportive, caring, and loving husband who is always there for me. He was ready to help me throughout my pregnancy. This difficult journey became easier because of him, and I love him for that, he understands his responsibilities well.
I was getting vaccinations daily. It was extremely painful, and I cried a lot during this period. Going through multiple ultrasounds was tough for all of us. But after five months of pregnancy, my health got better, and the doctor said that the placenta had moved upwards. Now, I could walk, and I was allowed to do anything. Eventually, the time passed, and I was at the end of the 9th month of my pregnancy. I started shopping for baby clothes, feeding bottles, and bath products. My doctor said that I had completed 40 weeks and I wasn’t experiencing labour pain, so it was time to get hospitalised.
On 25 July 2019, I was blessed with a baby girl. We are joyous to have our baby girl in our life. She is five months old now, and she is notorious. We chose a name starting with the letter A and named her Anvi. My pregnancy was quite challenging but after seeing my baby every pain I had experienced vanished.
This was the story of my pregnancy, and I hope everyone liked it. All I want to say is you should have faith in God, and everything will be okay.
