My Amazing Experience of Breastfeeding, and Its Benefits, and How It Works for First-Time Moms

Breastfeeding is a boon to both the mom and newborn as it contains antibodies that help tiny tot to fight infections and allergies. Breast milk is easily digestible and provides the baby with the right balance of proteins, fat, carbohydrates, and other nutrients to promote the growth and development of your baby. Babies who are well breastfed are much more resistant to ear infections, skin eczema and other diseases. Also, the bond it creates is immense and pious. Breastfeeding not only supplies your baby with tailored nutrition, but it is available on-demand, day or night, and free of cost! Though the health benefits of breastmilk go well beyond cost and convenience.
With overcoming fewer difficulties like low breast milk supply and poor latch as it was a first time experience, I started doing the process and gaining healthy baby weight. I followed a proper diet, included carom seeds, fenugreek seeds, green leafy vegetables and practising proper breastfeeding positions to make it hassle-free. I found the cradle position best for myself and the baby. My baby was fussy at times while feeding, that is how I learnt about colic pain in babies and how to overcome it. Stress is the number one breast milk killer. Hence without family support, you cannot have a pleasant experience. My husband and in-laws always supported me in the entire journey, guiding and taking care of us and help raise my boy healthy and smart. Night feedings are quite stressful, hence I opted for pumping and storing breastmilk and my partner helped me by being available while I was nursing my baby. As I had to join my work back, I started weaning when Reyansh was six months of age. But yes night feedings continued till he was 1-year-old. I feel blessed and thank God for giving me this wonderful opportunity that is a grace of motherhood. Thank you all!
