Learning New Talents During the Coronavirus Lockdown

Last Updated on

To prevent the coronavirus from spreading, we all are staying home with our wonderful family members. This period of quarantine had made spending time usefully and in an innovative way important, making both the body and the mind healthy and filled with happiness.

Finding our individuality and hidden talents is a good outcome in this period. I develop new activities by looking through the internet. By doing this, we can expose ourselves and learn about new things that we are not exposed to in our daily life.

Making handicrafts is my favourite hobby, and I had forgotten about it for years now. But now I have earned a precious chance to make a comeback to my interest with the support of the internet, which is full of ideas. It also helps in selling these products to make financial gains.

Also, making videos and exhibiting my creations gave me a new position in society, along with appreciation and encouragement. Instead of using cellphones to waste time, I used it to learn new skills and make innovative creations.

Along with art, gardening at home together with your family is great medicine for the mind, and it’s easy to develop your interests in a different way. Exclusive dishes cooked through watching videos made me open a new kitchen studio to record my cooking adventures with things available at home.

All this was possible only because of my beloved family and their support in helping one another. We are all surprised by our hidden capacities and gave each other space and time to enhance these new skills. Like my story, I hope you too have similar experiences with your family.

We also took out our old albums to see the pictures of our relatives and share our childhood and other stages of life with everyone. Those memories are invaluable. Some people might not be with us, but this quarantine makes us feel their absence in the present through our emotions and tears. These memories make me value our child even more as I remember the love, care, and affection given to us from elders at home.
