Homemade Face Packs for Glowing Skin

Homemade Face Packs for Glowing Skin

Last Updated on

I have saved quite some money during this lockdown period and social distancing era (it does feel like an era, doesn’t it?). Thanks to ‘No beauty parlour days!’

One of the issues we rant about is how we aren’t visiting the parlour/saloon for our personal pampering and grooming. But hey! We need to take care of our skin and hair as it does make one feel good. So here I am sharing with all you ladies a wonderful mask/pack that I swear by when it comes to skincare.

All you need is some kitchen ingredients to get started.

1. De-Tan Pack

  • Gram flour (besan) – 2 tbsp
  • Fresh cream (malai) – 1/2 tbsp
  • Curd – 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder (haldi) – 1/2 tsp
  • Honey – 1 tsp

How to Make

  1. Mix all these ingredients in a bowl to make a paste.
  2. Apply it on your face, neck, nape of the neck and hands, and let it dry!
  3. Rinse with warm water.

Note: Use this mask twice a week and feel the difference in just three uses. I would recommend using this pack in summers. If you prefer to use it in winters, double the malai quantity or add in a Vitamin E capsule.

2. Milk and Honey Pack for Smooth Skin

  • Milk – 1 tbsp
  • Honey – 1 tsp
  • Turmeric (haldi) – 1/2 tsp

How to Make

  1. Take the three ingredients in a bowl and mix well to make a smooth paste.
  2. Apply it on your face and neck using a cotton ball. Leave it on for 15 minutes.
  3. Wash off with cold tap water.
  4. Use this pack 2 times a week. Get a smooth and supple skin at the very first use itself.
  5. Continue using this pack to maintain the texture of your skin.

I thought of sharing these two easy DIY masks because I was reminiscing my pre-wedding days, where I wanted my skin to look as flawless as possible. And these packs worked wonders for my skin, making it glow. Never underestimate the power of self-pampering! Happy masking ladies! Go, get the glow!
