But, you need not feel guilty if your are stopping breastfeeding at or after 6 months because your baby is now ready to digest several other food items. 1. Extract Milk and Store It

This is one of the most common methods that is used by working moms all over the world. You can use a breast pump to extract the milk and then store it in the refrigerator. This milk can be heated using double boiler method and then given to your baby in a feeding bottle or a cup. This ensures that your child gets all the nutrition present in mother’s milk and relieves you of a working mom’s guilt of early weaning.

2. Breastfeed When Home

Do not give up breastfeeding completely. Give your baby formula milk during the day time and breastfeed him once you reach home. The baby gets used to this routine over time and does not create much fuss when formula milk is fed during the day.

3. Talk to Other Working Moms

Speak to your female colleagues and friends who have gone through the same phase of weaning their child and have felt the same. By doing this, you would be able to get some insights into the lives of other moms who have faced a similar situation and would also get tips on how to take care of your baby’s nutritional intake. 4. Introduce other Nutritional Foods

You can start giving your child juices and other liquid items, such as clear soup, once he is 6 months old. Not only would this provide nutrition to your child but will also develop his taste buds for different food items.

Breastfeeding is the best way to bond with your child but not the only one. Spend lots of time with your child when you are at home and let him feel your warmth and love. Give yourself some time and soon you will find yourself free from a working mom’s guilt of early weaning.
