Q.

yesterday my son had gum bleeding.he is 15 months old.doctor asked to test haemogram, PT, APTT. why should these tests be done for gum bleeding. any doctors please reply

A. hi mom i will advise you to consult with your dentist first then only get these test .. these test r done to see if there is any problem in clotting of blood

A. hello this requires a proper medical attention and it would be better to check with your paediatric dentist and he will be able to guide you better on examination of the same and advise you accordingly which is better and also safe too

Q. #asktheexpert my son getting nose bleesing which lasts 10seconds and only 6 drops of blood and in 3 and half mnth he got 6 episodes mostly afternoons after he wakeup and it started in summer. My doctor asakes us to test cbp and aptt and pt tests.. all are good and HB also 12.9 .but only Aptt showing 48 which is high.. he is 3.5 years. any concerns or further tests needed please suggest.
