My 6.5 month old baby poops tar black color. I have been asked by Pediatrician to take PT, CBC and aPTT blood test to check for any bleeding.Is this anything serious. I'm worried a lot and I just questioned here to understand the seriousness of problem until the blood test and doctor consultation is done.

A. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much and please do the test as per doctor prescription and it is very difficult to say anything about it without personally examine and reports evaluation. Take care

Q. Dear Sir/ Madam, Baby had bleeding disorder in brain. PT & APTT levels is abnormal and also brain was some pressure (SDL). So Dr. decide urgent surgery have done. Now baby is normal. Finally they told PT & APTT report based may be Vitamin K deficiency problem so that happened. Kindly need to advice for further tests and conclusion this problem. Now PT : 11.9 INR:0.87 and APTT : 36.23
