with new guidelines is it completely safe for nursing mothers to take covid Vaccine. any precautions to be taken for baby please advise. also do I need to wait for sometime for nursing again.. plz advise the sop.

Covid vaccination like covishield/ covaxin in the breastfeeding mothers can be given very safely according to the latest recommendatiyon which is approved by by government of India. only pregnant women and children are not included in this list. Nursing mothers can feed their child as soon as required after the vaccination very safely.

Nihita mittalMom of 4 children4 years agoA. good evening there are a lot of people who have weakness and fever for a couple of days after the vaccination so it is best if you avoid feeding the baby for 3 days after the vaccine and then continue
