Q.

why ROP is important for premature babies and what is retina is not completely mature. I was 32 weeks 2 days when my delivery happened and after 4 weeks we went for ROP. wherein wecame to knw retina is not completely mature and advised to get checked again post 2-3 weeks, it's a painful procedure. plz suggest what we should do or go again...

A. Hello dear parent Because of oxygen exposure to the baby at a stage of prematurity ROP usually develops and it has to be checked and cleared . Which procedure is being done?

A. ROP screening as if now post diluting eyes, they checked retina. it was a manual process

A. U Let your child grow up a little because at this age kids don’t even have proper vision so after six months later child completes the age of six months then you go ahead and get it checked with an ophthalmologist because they would be able to give you a better clarity on that
