POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy1 Year agoA. A hot head in a 7-month-old baby, while the body temperature remains normal and the baby has a mild cold, is not necessarily a sign of fever. It could be due to several factors:
1. **Teething**: Babies often have a warm head when teething. This can sometimes be accompanied by a mild cold-like symptoms.
2. **Illness**: A mild cold can sometimes cause localized warmth in the head. It might not always result in a significant fever.
3. **Overheating**: Ensure the baby is not overdressed or in a warm environment, as this can cause the head to feel hot.
4. **Infection**: Sometimes, even a mild cold can cause a slight increase in head temperature, although it would generally be accompanied by other symptoms if it's a fever.
Monitor her overall condition, and if she develops a high fever, has persistent symptoms, or if you have any concerns, it’s best to consult with a pediatrician. They can provide a thorough evaluation and appropriate guidance.
