Q.
Why does our one and half month baby often get hick up? what is the solution? please help us to know the reason and remedy. Thanks

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. hiccups in children occur due to gas which is present in the stomach.
during the feeding process child takes air along with milk and that air goes inside the stomach which irritates leading to hiccups.
you have to offer feeding as wyell as do proper burping(for atleast 20 minutes) to decrease this problem and it is a self limiting problem
during hiccups just give breastfeeding again and keep the child in upright position for burping wjhich will stop the episode
