why does my 9 days old newborn hiccup often

ExpertDr Laxmi Chavan-SawantAyurvedic Gynaecologist 2 years agoA. hiccups are due to gas. is very common under 6 months of age bcz of gas in stomach Exclusive breast feed ur baby Feed ur baby with proper position. Burp properly after each and every feed for at least 10 min or till baby take 4 burp. Give Tummy time 4-5 times in a day time If still issue persist then Give colic aid drops 0.5 ml (if needed). Maximum 4times per day.

AbhayaMom of a 15 yr 11 m old boy2 years agoA. Hi mom its normal. this is because when the babies they suck ,air gets trapped in the throat and they start hiccups. perfeclty normal so no need to worry at all. take care
