Q.
why do we see liquid ear wax coming out of kids ears? is it normal? or is it bcs the kid is having cold? etc. what to do? can we clean it gently? use any drops? thanks in advance.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. you have to clean the ears of the child only externally with cotton cloth.
do not use anything like earbuds to clean the internal ear.
this will only do more harm as wax will get impacted inside deep and will cause more problem.
if you feel that the child is having some problems in the internal ear then kindly meet your dsoctor for examination.
if the child is having wax problem and not improving with drops you have to get it removed with the help of your ent doctdor.
if there is pain you can give paracetamol to the child for pain

if there is other symptoms like fever, irritability,pain too ,it must be ear Infection
please visit your pediatrician
