why baby is suffering from fever from the past 3 days after vaccination? when it is control ? how to reduce the fever ?AskTheExpert

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. you can give paracetamol to the child for fever and this medicine can be repeated maximum 4 times per day.
it is given according to the weight of the child and according to the power of paracetamol medicine you are having.
armpit temperature of hundred or more is considered as feverr
important to do body sponge and give plenty of fluids to drink to prevent dehydration and decrease body temperature.
keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is having fever
higher medicinesr (ibugesic / meftal-p)for fever is required or not will be told by the doctor

Uma RamMom of a 7 yr old boy2 years agoA. Hello good morning !! Post vaccination fever is common but it vanish around 2-3 days...
Give fever medication as prescribed by your paediatrician do sponging avoid bathing.
If fever sustains more than 4-5 days then consult paediatrician.
Generally after giving vaccination shots/drops the antibodies which were sent through vaccination for protecting from disease/virus will react inside and thus fever so it is a sign that body is ready to fight against respective virus,disease.
