why babies should not be given salt, sugar and jaggery till one year old ... I give him only dates puree for poddrige still am having the question why no salt, sugar Nd jaggery

A. dear mum , salt shd not b given till 1 yr of age as the kidney of the baby are not mature to process salt sugar jaggery shd b avoided to develop healthy eating reduce risk of overweight , dental caries

A. as per experts salt should not be given upto two months as baby's kidneys are not mature enough to process salt. however as far as sugar is concerned artificial sweetners may lead to preference of sweets and can lead to potential risks of obesity, tooth decay and other health issues in life.
