Good Growth of the child is very important and for this most important is that child should take a healthy diet where its necessary to give a balance diet which should contain all the nutrition required. This is very important for building the immunity also.
Encourage for green vegetables fruits dairy products all kinds of dal and other protein containing food items like soyabean eggs etc.
Some nutritional deficiencies can be a cause for less appetite like iron deficiency which is most common.
Supplemetnts like iron supplements and multivitamin with lysinegt like syp zincovit CL can be given for 1-2 months to increase the appetite.
Diet counselling is also very important .

just be sure diet is balanced and feed in small chunks...
roti sabji along with rice in dinner and lunch...
instant dosa, idli , poha, upma ,shira, porridge of different types like vermicelli, daliya,semolina, rice can be given as breakfast and snacks items..
fruits like banana, mango,strawberries ,apple,pear can be given in between..
