POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 7 m old boy3 years agoA. It helps prevent pneumococcal disease. It also helps prevent the spread of the infection from person to person. The vaccine's protection lasts at least 3 years. The most serious pneumococcal infections happen during the first 2 years of life.
