what to do if baby is having congestion in chest. pls suggest some home remedies

Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if requirevcd .

RashmiMom of a 11 yr 2 m old girl4 years agoA. U Can definitely go ahead with the giving steam to the child but I hope you know that you have to give it indirectly not directly and of course nebulisation is the best thing to go for you can do it two times in a day for about 3 to 5 days
