For cold you can give syp allegra 2.5 ml twice daily to the child.
try to prevent temperature variations around the child and give nasal saline drops every three hourly for nasal blockage and simple cough and cold. Indirect steam will also help.
Go for home remedies like Tulsi Ginger diluted with water combination and turmeric xwith milk at least 2 times per day.(honey can be added after 1 year age)
Give warm wxater to drink
If no improvement in 2 or 3 days then meet your doctor
For fever and pain give paracetamol.
POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy1 Year agoA. For a 6-month-old baby with a runny nose, here are some gentle measures you can try:
1. **Keep the Air Moist**: Use a cool-mist humidifier in the baby's room to help keep the nasal passages moist.
2. **Saline Drops**: Use saline nasal drops to help clear the mucus. These are safe for babies and can be used as directed on the package.
3. **Nasal Aspirator**: Gently use a bulb syringe or nasal aspirator to remove mucus from the baby's nose. Be careful not to insert it too far into the nostril.
4. **Hydration**: Ensure the baby is well-hydrated. Offer frequent feeds or sips of water if appropriate.
5. **Elevate the Head**: Slightly elevate the baby's head while sleeping by placing a pillow under the mattress, which can help with drainage.
6. **Gentle Cleaning**: Use a soft tissue to gently wipe the baby’s nose and avoid irritation.
If the runny nose persists for more than a week, or if it’s accompanied by other symptoms like fever, cough, or difficulty breathing, consult a pediatrician.
