what medicine should I give for cold and cough

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. This can occur due to either allergy or infection and some times due to climate changes around child.
For cold / running nose give syp wikoryl AF 5 ml to the child 2- 3 times per day. (Helps in decreasing running nose and cold)
Prevent temperature variations around the child and give nasal saline drops every three hourly for nasal congestion and block.
For wet coughing you can give syrup ascoril LS 5ml twice daily to the child
Indirect steam help in decreasingw coughing
For fever and pain give paracetamol
Go for home remedies like Tulsi Ginger honey diluted with water combination and turmeric with milk at least 2 times perw day.
Give warm water to drink.

Sarika guptaMom of 2 children1 Year agoA. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much and you should give baby ginger juice with honey and also give baby honey with Luke warm water and if it is on severe then better to evaluate once with your local child doctor in person.
