what is the relation between breastfeeding nd menstrual cycle? why not period is comes when she is breasfeed?

ExpertDr.Deepinder Kaur DhawanObstetrician and Gynaecologist4 years agoA. when you are breastfeeding your child.. your prolactin levels remain high for milk production.. and it reduces estrogen and progesterone resulting in amenorrhea and inability to conceive too. so it's all normal

Few mommies get their periods even while breastfeeding and few mommies don’t get even after an year after delivery. Eat a well balanced healthy diet and keep yourself hydrated all through the day while breastfeeding your baby.
