A. Dear parent, there can be two reasons for gums covering the tooth 1. Eruptibg permanent tooth at 6 years at the back of the last milk tooth. This will subside as the tooth erupts fully. 2. Cavity in a milk tooth which is now covered due to overgrowth of gums into it Please consult a pediatric dentist if it the second reason.
