What is the first recommended solid food to be given to the baby once turned 6 month old?

A. Hello mom would initially suggest to start with liquids such as dal or rice water or vegetable soups or fresh fruit juices and once the baby accepts them Well you may gradually move to semi solids and mashed foods such as steamed vegetables or mashed fruits or purée , Kichidi , porridge made with suji or ragi or multigrain mix

A. You can start with fruits and vegetables puree. All seasonal fruits and vegetables can be introduced. The consistency of puree should be just slightly thicker than breastmilk so that it is easy for baby to accept. Few fruits and vegetables you can start with are apple, mango, banana, chickoo, carrot, green peas etc
