Q.

we are feeding both breastmilk and formula milk for our 48 days old baby. we normally feed him 90ml formula milk during night times, morning breastfeed him for 20 to 30mins. since yesterday, he needs more milk. 90ml does not fill his appetite, he cries even after feeding him with 90ml formula milk(he usually falls asleep after drinking 90ml). today also same, 90ml does not look sufficient for him. can we feed 120 or 150ml per feed for 48days old baby? how to identify if your baby is still hungry? please advise.

A. hi at first, please stick to breastfeeding there is no need of formula or external milk. offer plenty of feeds because the more your child latches, the more milk is produced. so please breastfeed your child as per his or her needs. if your child looks happy healthy and active, gains enough weight then no need to worry about anything. ensure that your child should pass urine at least 7 or 8 times in a day. your child may be ask more because of just hanging of it. so offer small and frequent feeds. burp your baby well. give Massage to your child daily maintain good hygiene
