Normally, mild swelling from vaccines like DTP or Pentavac goes away within a few days to a couple of weeks. However, persistent swelling for two months could indicate:
A local reaction or small lump (called a sterile abscess), A mild infection, especially if the area is red, warm, or tender, Or a reaction to the vaccine components.
Until you see the doctor:
Avoid massaging or pressing the swollen area. Warm compresses may help if the doctor recommends. Watch for signs like pain, redness, pus, or fever, which need urgent care.
Please get it examined to rule out any underlying issue and get appropriate treatment if needed.
