A. In children aged 4–5 years, a doctor might recommend : Behavioral therapy: A parent or teacher could deliver this. Medication: If symptoms do not improve with behavioral therapy, and especially if they are moderate to severe, a doctor may recommend methylphenidate hydrochloride (Ritalin) and other stimulant medicines.
