Q.

Today I noticed a bump around my daughter's knee.. The area is pink and the bump is hard... When I press the bump, my daughter is not showing any sign of discomfort... But I m worried... should I be concerned?.. what can I do to reduce the bump... I doubt whether it is from an insect bite.. Kindly guide..

A. this is a pustular swelling. there is pus accumulated beneath the swelling. there is a possibility that you may require antibiotics to decrease the infection which has caused formation of pus.d so kindly visit the doctor. for pain you can give paracetamol as well as ibugesic if needed. if the swelling burst and pus comes out you can apply t bact cream x
