Q.
Sir my son got fever since yesterday not reducing below 100.. after giving 4 dose of paracetamol syrup fever is not reducing… his paediatrician has not put antibiotics… he has slight cold and cough..

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 9 m old boy1 Year agoA. you have to give paracetamol according to the weight and according to the power of paracetamol medicine you are having.d it can be repeated maximum 4 times per day. armpit temperature of hundred or more is considered as fever weather higher medicines like ibugesic or meftal p is required or nost will be told by the doctor. keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is having fever important to avoid them if possible. do body sponge to decrease the body temperature and give plenty of fluids and water to drink to prevent dehydration.
