Loose motion are most of the time infective where it is associated with fever and vomiting and its known as gastroenteritis where symptomatic treatment along with management for dhehydration is required if loose motions are associated with foul smell mucous ghigh grade fever than it could be bacterial infection which needs antibiotics treatment

It causes vomiting and diarrhea, especially in babies and young children. Infections are common during the winter and spring months, especially in childcare centers.
