A. semi solids are advisable as per w h o to be given by the age of 6 months of age however as per my pediatrician I started it little early because the logic is that the child should be able to hold the neck in upright position in case this is the case you can start semi solids by 5 months of age else you will have to wait for another month so it is advisable to speak with your pediatrician for the same
