Q.

respiratory rate is 72/min,my son is 3 months old , all the reports and heart scan lungs xray are normal, he is hospitalised since 16 days, due to increased respiratory rate, please let me know what shud I do now?

A. Hello, your baby boy is having his respiratory rate 72/min and he is admitted since last two weeks so if oxygen saturation is more than 95/97 and sucking is good it’s not essential to keep him in hospital

A. hi ideally it should be 25 to 30 per minute. but as a child is having it high , you must follow your doctor's advice for this. don't try self medication or any homemade remedies. baby is too young ,you must take necessary follow ups from your pediatrician.
