Q.

pcv vaccine was not done for my baby in 1,2,3 and 4 months.In 6th month I am taking that vaccine for my baby my recommendation of a pediatrician? Is that safe?? #Vaccination

A. Doctor recommended to go with PCV vaccine.So had gone gone with PCV 1st dose on 3rd July.After one week he said to take TCV that is Typhoid Vaccine,that means tomorrow.And PCV 2nd dose will be give on exactly 1 month after i.e, on 3rd August. Is this ok

A. Vaccination needs to be given to child only when the present covid situation becomes favourable and under full safety precautions.if there is any delay it will not have any adverse effect but mandatory vaccinations should be on the priority list followed by optional vaccine later on . Vaccination for children can be considered in the current sittuation as the cases of covid are less to some extent . In such condition most important Vaccination should be given on priority which your doctor will decide. Influenza vaccine should be given to children above 6 months of age in this season if not given to avoid unnecessary hospitalisation and other risk factors because of flu infection.
