Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. there is no problem in in going in a flight.
the important thing is that you have to to make sure that the child does not come in contact with more people.
during takeoff and landing it is important that the child should be given feeding or a ppacifier to decrease the air pressure in the ear which will again help in decreasing the the ear pain during the flight.
you have to keep with yourself painkiller like paracetamol which may be needed to decrease the pain if the child cries excessively.
your personal doctor will tell you more whether your child is physically compatible for a flight ride or not

If you need to travel urgently or perhaps you have a holiday or vacation booked before baby arrived, then you need to know the rules on how soon can you travel with a baby. As a very general rule, most airlines specify a baby must be over 14 days old to travel so a five month old infant can travel by plane.
