C-sec operations take place due to slow progress of labour such as facing an issue when pushing the baby out of the birth canal or if the neck of the cervix is not dilating rapidly enough when labour commences. The baby is distressed or mother's health is deteriorating. If the baby is in a breech position. The baby's oxygen levels and heartbeat indicates that he must be delivered immediately.
