Q.
myMy baby is 22 months old .He had cough and cold for past 2-3 days . Which medicine should be given to him?

Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and egxpectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if fever ish there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

Sonam PrasadMom of 2 children3 years agoA. hi dear Instead, offer toddler cough remedies like a cool mist humidifier running in your little one's room, steam from the hot shower, liquids like water, juice or warm decaffeinated tea, saline drops in the nose using a bulb syringe to take the mucus out, and a teaspoon of honey if your child is older than 1.
