Q.

My toddler is 3 years still weighs 10 kg he was born preterm at 25 weeks. I have tried everything that gains weight even pediasure since past year. He does drink milk can I give him milk powder and add it too his food? Will it help?

A. I dont think it will help much. Natural milk is a safe bet than milk powder. As long as he is active no concerns here. you can try adding few food in his daily diet like almonds and other dry fruits make it a powder and add to the milk he consumes.Eggs,butter,cheese,curd,paneer will aid in gain. Ragi porridges and bananas will also add.If he is a meat eater then mutton nicely boiled and mashed or to a consistency ge is able to chew can be given.
