A. An echogenic intracardiac focus (EIF) is a bright spot seen on a fetal ultrasound within the baby's heart. It is typically a benign finding and often represents a small calcification in the heart muscle. While EIFs are usually harmless, healthcare providers may monitor them to ensure there are no associated abnormalities. It's essential to consult with a healthcare professional for personalized advice based on your specific situation.
