my son is suffering from cold and high fever....when I give him Azithromycin syrup,the fever was gone for 3 ,4 hours bt then after his temp.is again increased...plz tell me the suitable medicine for him.

A. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators orhf antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if ffever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

A. It is the basic nature of ivattu repeat after every 4 to 5 hours so you have to continue giving medicines after every six hours to the child yet if you see Thoda fever have subsided within 72 hours I’ll have to cross check with your doctor on that
