Q.

my son is having frequent motions 4-5times a day. not very loose motions. He is one year old. keeping everything in mouth. should I avoid any food. he usually eats whatever we prepare for us. normal curries. I am giving curd rice to him during motions. Please advise

A. sir, my son does not have fever, vomiting and he is eating well just like before.since 2 days he is going for frequent motions. he is very active. Should I still consult doctor. I gave him ORS.pls suggest

A. Loose motion most of the time is because of some infection which could be viral or bacterial and in such case it is associated with symptoms like fever along with vomiting and loss of appetite . supportive treatment is very necessary where proper hydration should be maintained by giving ORS along with that probiotic can be given like enterogermina or econorm in a proper dose . Antibiotics has their role only if it is klbacterial infection . for this doctor guidance is necessary .
