Q.

My son is getting fever again and again. Why is this happening

A. Fever is reaction in the body towards any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body and only when the temperature is above 99F it is considered as fever, so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if again required and you can also do cold sponging of the body to reduce fever in between the doses ,but if it continues even thereafter you should consult your doctor for proper treatment. if the temperature is not controlled by paracetamol alone meftal p can be given in between as a single dose but only under medical guidance.these medicines will also work to relieve any pain or body ache to a good extent. but in case of infection in which the fever is associated with other problems also it is recommended to get the clinical assessment agdone and get a proper treatment done by a doctor.

A. Its Due to an infection that probably hasn’t subsided as of now which is why you are constantly getting fever again and again it would be advisable for you to consult your doctor go ahead with further investigation that is what is going to reveal as to what is
