Q.

My son is 8 months old. I have a query regarding meningococcal vaccine Our paediatrician said that Either We can have this vaccine for our baby now or after attaining the age of 2 years. So my question is When should this vaccine be given to babies. Please help.

A. when you are giving single dose then it has to be given after completion of 2 years of age and when you are giving at this age then two dosage needs to be given. this is an optional vaccine so it would be advisable to go after 2 years of age because it will give protection as well as the cost will be less
