Q.

My son is 6 weeks old and he has not passed his stools for the past 2 days,looks like constipation.i m only breast feeding him. What should I do?

A. Constipation in Babies less than 1 year is very common and more in formula fed babies and also when initially the semi solid food has beeng started after 6 months . you can give bonnisan drops yand some enzyme preparations in proper dose suggested by doctor and cow's milk should be avoided before 1 year of age . Medications are required but it should be given only in medical supervision .

A. Don’t worry constipation for initial one year is considered completely normal in caves and I see six months complete now you can start with semisolid food so go ahead with giving as much good amount of liquid as you canWrite Your Answer Here
