A. no vegetables to 5 month old, No other foods or fluids – including water – are not necessary till 6 months.  Exclusive breast feed your baby two hourly and on demand . Breast milk is the recommended source of nutrition for infants, especially during the first six months of life.

A. It is recommended to introduce semi solid foods in baby's diet between the age of 5-6 months as by then their immunity and digestive system develop a bit for outside foods. Start slow with 4-6 spoons per serving and twice a day. You can feed lentil puree, mashed banana, apple, carrot and pear puree, mixed vegetable, khichdi, ragi and sooji porridge, home made cerelac, etc.
